Morton graduated from the University of Leicester, UK in 1978 with an Hons. degree in Biological Science. In 1982, he moved to Wales to join the Science Department in a large High School where he taught Biology. Every summer, Morton led groups of students on expeditions to all parts of the UK and latterly to schools in disadvantaged areas of southern Africa where they worked with local children on community projects.

Morton, now retired, lives with his wife in rural England. They have two children and four grandchildren. He devotes his time to writing and researching climate change. After 32 years raising children's awareness of the threat posed by global warming, Morton feels compelled to reach a wider audience, conscious that for his children and especially grandchildren, time is running out.

This website is still a work in progress. Data will need to be updated and in some cases, corrected. It is no more than an attempt to bring together under one umbrella the current evidence for, and impacts on our changing climate. It has been impossible to avoid references to government policies since these impact directly on climate change and the likelihood of achieving net zero by 2050. However, these references have no political basis. My focus has been and will continue to be scientific in nature, led by peer-reviewed data and the consensus of the vast proportion of climate scientists.
